State Police at Honesdale have filed criminal homicide charges against a juvenile male in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in September 2025. The investigation began after troopers responded to a residence on Parkwood Drive in Salem Township, Wayne County, where they discovered 30-year-old Kimo Richards deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. While the incident took place last fall, the juvenile was officially charged this week on May 5, 2026.
Investigators determined that Richards' injuries were not self-inflicted, leading to the homicide ruling. Due to the age of the accused, authorities are not releasing his name or any additional identifying information at this time. The case remains under the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania State Police as they conclude their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal encounter in Salem Township.
