PLYMOUTH, PA — A Plymouth man is now in custody, facing aggravated assault and other related charges after a stabbing incident took place over the weekend in Plymouth Borough.
According to the Plymouth Borough Police Department, the incident occurred on Saturday along East Main Street. Upon arrival, officers began an immediate investigation.
The key breakthrough in the case came when police discovered a blood trail leading away from the scene and directly to a nearby residence. The trail ultimately led officers to an apartment belonging to Robert Betts. Police noted additional evidence, including blood, on the handle of his apartment door.
Betts was subsequently taken into custody. He has been charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses, though the police have not yet released information regarding the identity of the victim or victims, nor the extent of their injuries.
Betts is currently being held as the investigation continues.
