Fire crews were busy in Scranton last night. According to reports, Crews responded to a kitchen fire on the second floor of a three floor apartment building on Willow Street near Cedar Avenue around 9 p.m. No one was injured and the fire was put out in a short time. The people living in the second-unit apartment are displaced due to the damage. Another fire damaged 2 homes in West Scranton shortly after 11 last night. First responders were called to the 300 block of North 17th Street. One home was gutted by the fire, and one person had to be hospitalized. No word on what caused that fire in Scranton.
