Today is the final day for letters of interest to be received for those interested in becoming a member of the three citizen search committee to select a new Luzerne County Manager. Applications must be in by 4:30 this afternoon. Luzerne County Manager Randy Robertson resigned from the position last month. Luzerne County Council expects to begin public interviews January 3rd and make appointments January 10. For more information visit luzernecounty.org.
Luzerne County Council continues their review of American Rescue Plan funding applications. 140 applications with funding requests exceeding 200 million dollars have been received. Funds available are just over 94million dollars. The deadline for council members to review the 4th pool of applications is today and tomorrow they will begin review of the 5th and final pool. They expect to conclude the review process by next week.
