In a post on the Scranton School District Facebook page teachers in the district will not be going back to their schools on March 1 as planned due to not enough staff and concerns over air quality in the buildings. More than 50 teachers notified the district they will not be able to return due to pre existing conditions making them more susceptible to possible severe complications of coronavirus. No new date has been given and it's to be discussed at the School Board meeting on Monday. It's also not known if this will delay start of classes on March 15 for students in pre school thru second grade.
