Drop Boxes Installed Across Lackawanna County Ahead of Nov. 3 Election

SCRANTON, PA — Election officials in Lackawanna County have installed official ballot drop boxes at six locations across the region to help voters return their mail-in and absentee ballots for the upcoming General Election.
The drop box located inside the Lackawanna County Government Center at 123 Wyoming Avenue in Scranton is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays throughout October from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and on Election Day from 8:00 a.m. until polls close at 8:00 p.m.
Five additional municipal drop boxes are available during specific weekday hours:
Carbondale: Fallbrook Senior Community Center, 185 Fallbrook St. (Mon.–Fri., 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)

Clarks Summit: Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 State St. (Mon.–Fri., 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

Dickson City: Dickson City Borough Building, 901 Enterprise St. (Mon.–Fri., 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Moosic: Moosic Borough Building, 715 Main St. (Mon.–Fri., 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Roaring Brook Twp.: Roaring Brook Township Municipal Building, 430 Blue Shutters Rd. (Mon.–Fri., 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

With the exception of the Scranton Government Center location, all municipal drop boxes will be collected and removed on Friday, Oct. 30.
Election officials remind residents that the voter registration deadline is Monday, Oct. 19, and the deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 5:00 p.m. All voted mail-in and absentee ballots must be received by county election officials by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
