In Wyoming County, a glider made an emergency landing on a high school field. Tunkhannock Township Police say the glider left Elmira, NY, and was heading towards Wellsboro, PA, with the plan to go back to Elmira. The pilot told first responders that he missed a necessary updraft to complete the trip and chose an alternate landing site. Police say no one was injured and that the FAA was notified for further investigation.
