Flames damaged a home in Luzerne County early Easter Sunday morning. Crews responded to the home along Harris Pond Road in Sweet Valley shortly after 4am. Firefighters had to call in extra help to bring that blaze under control. Three people inside the burning home made it out safely. The Red Cross is helping them.
Two people were left without a place to live following a garage fire in Clarks Green on Sunday, Crews responded to the fire aft to 106 Pineview Circle shortly before 5pm Sunday afternoon for the report of a working garage fire, There was no fire damage to the main body of the house, but the home sustained smoke and water damage, and crews cut off power. No injuries were reported, and a state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of Sunday's fire in Lackawanna County.
