Fire damaged an apartment building in Scranton Tuesday morning leaving several people without a place to stay. According to fire officials flames broke out in the back side of the building along North Lincoln Avenue in West Scranton around 11:30. Three people and a dog were rescued from the front apartment. Firefighters say residents of the back apartment were not home at the time, two dogs inside could not be saved. The Red Cross was called to help those displaced. The cause of the fire is under investigation in Lackawanna County.
