HAZLETON, PA — Police are investigating a Monday afternoon shooting inside an apartment on East Diamond Avenue that left one person injured.
According to the Hazleton City Police Department, officers responded around 2:55 p.m. to the 200 block of East Diamond Avenue following reports of a gunshot victim. First responders located an individual inside an apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
The Hazleton City Police Crime Unit is handling the ongoing investigation. Department officials stated there is currently no known threat to the general public.
