Investigation continues into deadly Pike County officer-involved shooting

State Police in Pike County are continuing to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on Roemerville Road in Green Township on Tuesday. The individual involved in the incident has been identified as John Merop, who was pronounced dead by the Pike County Coroner. The investigation is currently being conducted in coordination with the Pike County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police. At this time, the investigation remains ongoing.
