A collaborative investigation into local drug distribution has resulted in the seizure of several pounds of cocaine, according to the Scranton Police Department. Over the past several weeks, the Scranton Police Street Crimes Unit worked alongside the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigation to dismantle a suspected distribution operation operating within the city and surrounding areas.
Authorities estimate the street value of the confiscated drugs could exceed $250,000. While the seizure marks a significant disruption to the local narcotics trade, officials noted that the investigation remains active and ongoing. Police have not yet released the names of any suspects or details regarding specific locations targeted during the sting, stating that additional information will be made public as the case progresses.
