A hearing is set for March 28th in Washington DC on the paper shortage at several polling places in Luzerne County during the general election this past November 8th . According to the information on the website of The Committee on House Administration, the hearing will look into what caused the paper shortage which in turn left long lines for voters to cast their ballots, extended poll hours into the evening and raised allegations that some were unable to cast their ballots. Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce has been conducting an investigation into the matter and says his office has spoken to hundreds of people since it happened. Congressman Matt Cartwright believes the committee should wait until that investigation is complete. Congressman Dan Meuser believes the DA should release the findings before the hearing even if there is an overlap between the hearing and the ongoing investigation County officials are expected to release more information later today on how to proceed regarding the hearing.
