A man wanted in North Carolina on murder and others charges was taken into custody in Hanover Township. It happened Friday when a US Marshals Service fugitive task force took Victor Newman into custody with the help of a Wilkes Barre police dog. He was found in a home on Maria Drive and was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility and is awaiting extradition back to North Carolina,
