On the agenda at tonight's Wilkes Barre Area School Board meeting is the sale of Meyers High School. This is the second time it's on the agenda. The board had planned to sell the property at a meeting back in April, but an offer came in during the meeting and the board held off. That offer from YMFS Family Partnership for 2.8million dollars is what board members are expected to vote on this evening. YMFS Family Partnership is proposing to put multi-family apartments in the former school building on Carey Ave. A vote on the District's proposed budget is also planned. No change in the city's property tax rate is expected.
