A 71-year-old Lehigh Valley man has died following a violent single-vehicle accident around midnight on Monday. Authorities identified the victim as Raymond Armstrong, who was rushed to Geisinger Community Medical Center but succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning. According to investigators, Armstrong's vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of Newton Ransom Boulevard and Main Street before the fatal collision occurred.
Police officials stated that after entering the Ransom Township intersection, the vehicle struck an immovable object and then crashed into a nearby house. The impact of the collision threw Armstrong from the vehicle, causing fatal injuries. The investigation continues.
