A man from Lackawanna County was sentenced for COVID-19 relief fraud. According to reports, James Miller from Scranton was charged in July 2024 after filing fake applications for pandemic programs, received more than $1.5 million, and then transferred it to people overseas. Miller was sentenced late last month and will spend at least three years behind bars.
