A Wyoming County businessman has purchased the former Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock Twp. from a division of Commonwealth Health Services with plans to reopen it. Bill Ruark of Meshoppen, owner of Meshoppen Stone and Stone Hedge Golf Course, purchased it through a family limited partnership. A sale price was not immediately available. Reports indicate there are plans for the site to be a possible urgent care facility with on site imaging and lab testing.
