Lackawanna League baseball and softball umpires now say they will wait until the end of the month before deciding to possibly strike. A Sunday night vote by the Scranton and Mid Valley Chapters averted the action which was to begin yesterday. A meeting of the Lackawanna Interscholastic Athletic Association principals is planned for later this month with a planned vote on a pay rate increase. They are asking for $90 pay per game for both softball and baseball. Currently they are payed $71 for softball and $77 for baseball.
