One person is injured following a hit-and-run in Scranton

One person was hospitalized after a reported hit and run in Lackawanna County on Monday. According to reports, Scranton Police were called shortly after 4pm. Monday for a reported pedestrian struck by a car at the intersection of Birney Avenue and Davis Street. Authorities explained that the pedestrian was struck by a Black Nissan Altima and was transported to a nearby hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. The search is on for the driver of the vehicle.
