Pause on replacement process for McGloin's seat in Lack. Co.

The Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas issued an order Wednesday morning that put a pause on the process of replacing former county Commissioner Matt McGloin and guaranteed the county will be without three commissioners until at least next month. The order is in response to a petition filed Monday by Commissioner Bill Gaughan and the county seeking a restart of the process that began last month when McGloin stepped down to seek a job outside of county government. The County Democratic Party Executive Committee has until April 7 to show cause why the court should not grant the county's petition. A hearing will be scheduled after that.
