Pittston Twp. Man Arrested in Infant Abuse Case. Child Airlifted to LVHN.

A Pittston Township man has been arrested in connection with a child abuse investigation involving his infant daughter. Ardian Amalbert, 25, of Pittston Township, was arraigned on Tuesday, on charges of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault and reckless endangerment. Amalbert was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

According to Pittston Township police, Amalbert admitted to "rough handling" of his infant daughter. Authorities reported that the baby sustained fractures to her ribs and leg. The infant was airlifted to Lehigh Valley Hospital on Monday, July 28, 2025, for treatment. Her current condition was not immediately available. Amalbert is being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, with a preliminary hearing tentatively scheduled for August 12, 2025.
