Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) released the results of their Thanksgiving holiday enforcement, reporting a total of 458 arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) during the five-day period from November 26-30. Troopers investigated 1,183 vehicle crashes over the holiday weekend, which tragically resulted in six fatalities. In addition to the deaths, 61 non-fatal crashes involved a driver who was under the influence. State Police also issued thousands of citations for other violations, including 7,472 for speeding, 934 for failing to wear a seat belt, and 72 for not securing children in safety seats.
