Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris , will announce a pilot program today, designed to ensure department readiness for implementing body-worn cameras. Following the Colonel’s remarks, Pennsylvania State Troopers Association President David Kennedy will also speak about the program. The pilot program will allow the Pennsylvania State Police to determine best practices, review existing policies, and identify any needs for additional equipment or software features before launching a department-wide rollout of body-worn cameras. The announcement is scheduled for 2pm this afternoon at State Police Headquarters in Harrisburg.
