A firm hired by Scranton City Council is reviewing the tax exempt status of non profits in the Electric City in an effort to generate more revenue for the city.  According to reports, Rudolph Clarke LLC has reviewed 1,600 properties — 1,200 of which are tax exempt, while 400 need further review of their tax-exempt status. Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti says she didn’t have a timeline for when its work would be complete.
