WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, PA - A shooting in the early hours of Saturday morning is currently under investigation by the Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department.
Officers were called to the 700 block of East Northampton Street around 1:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting. According to a statement on the police department's Facebook page, an exchange of gunfire occurred between a resident and another man.
Police say there were no injuries reported from the incident. Authorities also believe the shooting was an isolated event. The investigation is ongoing.
