State police are seeking the public's assistance as they investigate two separate incidents of gunfire involving suspects on an all-terrain or utility task vehicle in Susquehanna County. According to investigators from the Gibson barracks, shots were fired into the air just before dawn on Thursday near the intersection of Stark Road and state Route 2001 in Springville Township. A second shooting occurred on Saturday, when multiple rounds were fired at a disabled pickup truck parked near the intersection of West Nicholson Road and Quarry Road.
Authorities believe the same suspect or group of individuals operating the ATV or UTV may be responsible for both occurrences. State police are actively working to identify those involved and determine a motive for the reckless behavior. Anyone who may have seen an off-road vehicle in those areas during the early morning hours last week, or who has any information regarding the incidents, is urged to contact the state police Gibson barracks.
