After a 3 year wait, the swimming pool at McDade Park in Lackawanna County is set to reopen today. Lackawanna County commissioners and parks and recreation officials will officially open the renovated $3.1 million pool/swim complex with a brief ceremony at 12 noon today. The renovation at McDade Park includes a new bath house, swimming pool, restrooms and pump house with state-of-the-art mechanical system and equipment. The pool, with a maximum depth of 8 feet, features a zero-entry ramp area for easy and safe access for the disabled.
