Tenor Health, a non-profit foundation that was "established to ensure that financially struggling hospitals can survive and thrive across the cities and suburbs of America" announced Wednesday it has entered a letter of intent to acquire three local hospitals in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The hospitals included in the letter of intent are: Regional Hospital of Scranton, Moses Taylor Hospital and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Tenor Health Foundation isn't the first organization to announce their intentions to purchase the three struggling Commonwealth Health facilities. In mid 2024, Woodbridge Healthcare Inc. signed a similar letter of intent, but by November 2024, that deal fell through.
