Traffic, details on Scrantastic Spectacular today in downtown Scranton

Streets in the area of Lackawanna County Courthouse Square will close this afternoon for the annual Scrantastic Spectacular celebration, which begins at 4 p.m. in Scranton. A parking ban in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue is in effect through today. The Scrantastic Spectacular will feature a patriotic performance by the Northeast Pennsylvania Philharmonic at 7:30 p.m. on the North Washington Avenue side of Courthouse Square and a fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks beginning about 9:30. The fireworks will be launched from the roof of the Linden parking garage, and Audacy Media is a participating sponsor for the Scrantastic Spectacular
