The statewide opening day of Trout season is Saturday. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) says it will stock around 3.2 million adult trout in 691 streams and 130 lakes open to public angling, throughout the 2025 season. During the regular trout season which stretches through Labor Day anglers may keep up to five trout per day, measuring at least seven inches long according to the PFBC.
