Police in Northeastern Pennsylvania are investigating two separate fatal traffic accidents that occurred in Wyoming Borough and Pike County earlier this week.
Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Wyoming Borough
A 35-year-old man died Thursday afternoon following a collision on Wyoming Avenue in the Borough of Wyoming. According to local investigators, the crash occurred when a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided as the truck was attempting to cross the roadway. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity, and the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
Multi-Vehicle Fatal Crash in Milford
Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Pike County.
Troopers report that the driver of a tractor-trailer lost control along West Harford Street, near Seventh Street in Milford Borough, striking several surrounding vehicles. A 75-year-old man from Levittown sustained fatal injuries in the wreck and was pronounced dead. Numerous other occupants in the involved vehicles suffered injuries and were treated following the collision.
State police are asking anyone who witnessed either incident to contact local law enforcement as both investigations remain active.
