WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Two people have been displaced following a house fire that occurred Monday evening in Wilkes-Barre.
According to Wilkes-Barre City Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Damian Lendacky, fire crews were dispatched to the 200 block of New Mallery Place at approximately 5:30 p.m. for a reported structure fire.
Officials confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the blaze is currently under investigation. the Assistant Fire Chief stated that fire and building inspectors are scheduled to return to the scene today to further investigate the incident.
