
A 40 year old Wilkes Barre man is being held without bail, suspected of firing a shot that killed a woman at a home on Darling Street Sunday morning. Nataniel San Martin was charged with homicide and reckless endangerment after the incident.
According to witnesses, the suspect began arguing with Carla Pina and became, what they described, as irrational, He went into a bedroom where a child was sleeping. That's when a gunshot was heard. Pina went to investigate and a second gunshot was heard.
Pina was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
San Martin is currently being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is set for next week.
