Locks have been changed at the Wilkes-Barre Township Municipal Building following the resignation of former business administrator Michael Revitt.
Township officials confirmed an internal investigation is now underway, though they have not released specific details. Township Solicitor John Rodgers said the decision to change the locks is also tied to a council member’s recent resignation.
Despite the developments, Monday night’s township work session proceeded as scheduled. However, just five minutes into the meeting, council entered a closed-door executive session to discuss personnel matters.
Officials have not yet said whether the resignations and investigation are connected.
