A man who was mistakenly released from the Luzerne County lockup after impersonating his half-brother is now back in custody. 31 year old Billy Partington was serving a sentence on drug charges and wasn’t supposed to be released until late this year.
Officials say he’s facing new charges after allowing prison officials to think he was his half-brother Drake. Drake Partington posted bail and questioned why he wasn’t released..it was then the prison staff realized the mistake. County officials will probe how this happened.
