The suspect in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk is in custody and has been identified publicly. Officials say 22 year old Tyler Robinson of Utah was arrested, Friday morning.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox said a family member of the suspect reached out to a family friend who then contacted authorities with information. Investigators interviewed Robinson's roommate who showed them messages on Discord from Robinson.

They say the messages state a need to retrieve a rifle from a drop point in the bushes, engraving bullets and mentioned of a scope and rifle. Governor Cox says the bullets were engraved and one read "Hey Fascists Catch".

Robinson was wearing clothing consistent with the clothing in the surveillance images. Robinson was a former student at Utah Valley University, he went there for one semester in 2021 before dropping out.
