
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — With Gov. Tom Wolf on his way out, the Republican party in Pa. is looking to take hold of the state in November, and Pa. Republicans have elected Pa. Sen. Doug Mastriano to face Pa. Attorney General Josh Shapiro in the general election.

Much like the Senate race, it was a crowded field, but one that Republicans attempted to shrink last week with Pa. Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman and former U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart ending their candidacies to throw their endorsement behind Lou Barletta.
Clearly it did not work, and Mastriano will be representing the Republican Party on the ballot in the fall.
