Towanda, PA—Former Ohio State and Penn State wide receiver Julian Fleming is facing multiple felony charges, including homicide by vehicle, in connection with an ATV crash that killed his girlfriend, Alyssa Boyd, in May. Fleming, 23, appeared in Bradford County court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.

The charges against Fleming also include aggravated assault by vehicle and driving under the influence. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred on May 23 in Columbia Township, Pa., when an ATV driven by Fleming struck a deer.

Court documents indicate that at the time of the crash, Fleming's blood-alcohol level was between .10 and .16 percent, which is above Pennsylvania's legal limit of .08 percent. The police report also noted that neither Fleming nor Boyd were wearing helmets when the incident occurred.
