Former football star and Hollywood celebrity O.J. Simpson has died at the age of 76. Simpson reportedly died after a battle with prostate cancer. He was popularly referred to as Juice, which came from his name O.J., which is also a popular name for orange juice.
Simpson was known as one of the greatest running backs in college and professional football. He also appeared in many acting roles, including “The Naked Gun.” But he is known by many due to his arrest in 1994 and the trials he went through for allegedly killing his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
The celeb was ultimately acquitted, but he didn’t rise to his previous level of fame afterward and later lost a wrongful-death suit over the deaths of Brown Simpson and Goldman. His family requested that “during this time of transition…please respect [our] wishes for privacy and grace,” on a post on O.J.'s X account.
