The Library of Congress unveiled its annual list of the 25 movies that will be preserved for their cultural and historical significance. The registry, which has been kept since 1989, contains 850 films. Movies added to the registry this year include Hairspray, House Party, Carrie, When Harry Met Sally, The Little Mermaid, and Iron Man.

And sad news from yesterday as a rock icon passed away - Jeff Beck has died at age 78.
The legend was an inspiration to just about every guitarist that came after.
On his Twitter account, his rep posted the sad news that the legend contracted bacterial meningitis.
Many fans and musicians as being one of the faces on the "Mt. Rushmore" of guitarists.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - first as a member of the Yardbirds in 1992, then he entered the hall as a solo performer in 2009.
