There was a documentary on the History Channel with director James Cameron discussing the 25th anniversary of the movie Titanic. One of the things Cameron talked about, was would Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) have survived if Rose (Kate Winslet) made room on the door. as the ship was sinking.
Kate is now weighing in on the ongoing question.
