Former flight attendant and now etiquette expert Elaine Swann says that travelers need to observe basic rules of manners while flying. Flying in a middle seat? Swan says that, because the passengers in the window and aisle seats have armrests of their own, the person in the middle seat gets to use both of the middle armrests. One more piece of advice from Swann: don't spend too much time in the airplane bathroom.
