Another year means another group of musicians are going to be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. And the race is officially on for 2024, as the Hall as announced this year’s nominees… and they span multiple genres, such as pop, hard rock, R&B and hip-hop.
Ozzy Osbourne confessed he’s “deeply honored” to finally become a solo nominee, even though he’s been inducted as a member of Black Sabbath. The other nominees are Cher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews Band, Eric B & Rakim, Foreigner, Jane’s Addiction, Kool & The Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Sade, Peter Frampton, A Tribe Called Quest and the late Sinead O’Connor.
Of note, many of the nominees have been considered "overlooked" by the Rock Hall in past years. Fan voting is open now. Head here to cast your vote.
“Continuing in the true spirit of rock & roll, these artists have created their own sounds that have impacted generations and influenced countless others that have followed in their footsteps,” said Hall chairman John Sykes. The new inductees will follow last year’s honorees: Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against The Machine, George Michael, Missy Elliott, The Spinners and Kate Bush.
