Speaking with Audacy's Myki Angeline backstage at Aftershock 2023, singer Chris Daughtry discussed some of the ways he keeps his mental health in check while at home and out on the road.
I'm Listening: Daughtry on why you need to 'say it out loud'
"For me, the gym is a huge anchor in my life," Daughtry shares of his exercise routine, "getting out that physical angst and frustration."
Chris also admits he got in touch recently with a therapist, because he felt as though "things were starting to pile on [his] shoulders," and began to see the effects of his anxieties in his interactions with those around him.
"I encourage anyone out there to say it out loud," he implores. "Keeping it in your head is the worst... you just send yourself into a downward spiral of negative self-talk and that helps nobody, especially you."
