The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah will take to the awards stage for the second year in a row to host the GRAMMYs.
BTS, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Brothers Osbourne, Brandi Carlile and Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow are all set to perform. The Recording Academy has also announced that Carrie Underwood, John Legend and J Balvin with Maria Becerra would also be giving performances during the ceremony. Additionally, Silk Sonic has been slated to deliver the opening performance this year.
The producers behind the ceremony also announced that they will pay tribute to the Foo Fighters drummer, Taylor Hawkins, who suffered an untimely death on March 25 at 50-years-old.
The Foo Fighters were initially confirmed to perform at this year’s award show, but have since canceled all of their concerts and performances for the foreseeable future. GRAMMYs producers are now developing a proper tribute that will take place during the telecast.
This year’s GRAMMY nominees include Jon Batiste, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, BTS, Kacey Musgraves, Halsey, Cardi B, Silk Sonic, Coldplay, Brothers Osborne, Megan Thee Stallion, Baby Keem, Kendrick Lamar, Brandi Carlile and Jazmine Sullivan.
2022 GRAMMY winners will take how a golden gramophone and a Bulova watch with their name and winning category engraved on the back.
The 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live exclusively on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3 at 8PM ET/ 5PM PT. The show relocated to Sin City this year from its initial home in Los Angeles’ at the Crypto.Com Arena, due to prior COVID-19 concerns.
The award show will stream on GRAMMY.com and on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel. Additionally, the event can also be streamed live by signing into CBS.com and via the CBS app for Amazon Fire TV users. The 2022 GRAMMYs will also stream exclusively on Paramount+.
