A woman in Australia is the latest to be labeled a "Karen" after scolding a man for allegedly allowing a fish he caught to die in a video that has since gone viral.

The clip was first posted to a sport fishing YouTube page on New Year’s Eve.

The incident happened in a suburb of Sydney, according to Daily Dot.

The video quickly gained attention of people online, receiving over 530,000 views in one week.

The person taking the video, who goes by Shroom on YouTube, was fishing off the peer when the concerned woman, who appears to be a complete stranger, suddenly approached him.

“Why did you just kill that fish, and throw it back in?” the woman asked.

The fisherman calmly explained that he tried to release his catch and did not in fact kill the fish.

"You did. I saw it here, and it was flapping up and around," the woman responds. "Can I see your fishing license please?"

The fisherman replied, “There is nothing wrong that I’ve done. Absolutely nothing wrong.”

He continued, “I’m allowed to release fish like that.  You can call the DPI right now, the Department of Primary Industries. You can give them a call.”

The woman then told the man that she would be calling the local police station, and walked quickly off the dock.

At the end of the short clip, the man continues to fish off of the dock.

The fisherman captioned the video, “Despite my best efforts to release a fish that I caught, it ended up floating later.”

It is unclear if the woman ever called the authorities.
