The new Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi premiered on the service as Chili Peppers fans may have noticed a familiar face. That would be none other than Flea, who plays the role of a bounty hunter in the series.

Rumors about Flea’s appearance began to circulate a few weeks ago when it was reported that he would have a role in the Star Wars series. At the time, a report stated that Flea would appear on screen and will wield a “cool-looking blaster.”

With the release of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Flea has officially entered the Star Wars universe. The series is set ten years after Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and nine years before Episode IV: A New Hope as Flea plays the role of a Vect Nakru, a bounty hunter that kidnaps Leia Organa.

It’s no surprise that Flea earned a role in the series as Obi-Wan Kenobi director Deborah Chow has a connection to the Chili Peppers as she directed the music video for their recent single “Black Summer.”

It was a good time for Flea to take part in some non-musical activities as he has a busy summer on the horizon. The Red Hot Chili Peppers currently have a 19-date North American tour on the books that will kick off on July 23 in Denver and is scheduled to wrap up on September 18 in Arlington, Texas.

The band will be bringing along several of their high-profile friends at various stops along the way as support acts include Beck, St. Vincent, The Strokes, HAIM, Thundercat, and King Princess.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now. You can see the full tour itinerary and purchase tickets here.
