As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back on some of the music it gifted us with.

While many great singles dropped throughout the year, we’re here to celebrate the albums. From Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poet’s Department, to Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter and Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion, 2024 was full of good music worthy of big time celebrations.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) - Taylor Swift
1989 (Taylor's Version), which released October 2023, continued to see the top of the chart into early 2024 after 4 weeks at the top throughout 2023. The project marked Swift’s fourth re-recorded album in an effort to re-gain artistic control of her music. It features the original 13 tracks plus five never-before-heard songs that didn’t make the original album.

Morgan Wallen

One Thing at a Time - Morgan Wallen
Morgan Wallen’s 2023 release, One Thing at a Time, found itself at the top again after more than a year following its release date. The triple album marked the Country singer-songwriter’s third studio album with a whopping 30 tracks that continue to stand the test of time.

21 Savage

American Dream - 21 Savage 
British-American rapper, 21 Savage spent two weeks at the top of the chart with his third studio album, American Dream. The project features guest appearances from Doja CatYoung ThugMetro BoominLil DurkTravis ScottSummer WalkerBrent Faiyaz and Burna Boy, among others.

35 Biggest Hits - Toby Keith 
Following his death in February, Country legend Toby Keith topped the charts with a two-disc greatest hits album previously released in May 2008. The album includes thirty-four of Keith’s most popular and successful tracks alongside his 2008 release, "She's a Hottie", which was released to radio alongside the 2008 album release.

Ye and Ty Dolla Sign

Vultures 1 - ¥$: Ye and Ty Dolla Sign
Vultures 1 marked the debut album by new supergroup, consisting of Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign. The project was a long time coming as the pair began recording it with collaborators in Italy in October 2023, then relocated to Saudi Arabia for three months. After seeing many delays and changes to the tracklist, the album came to fruition for release in February 2024.

With You-th - Twice 
With You-th marked the thirteenth EP by South Korean girl group Twice. Released in February, the project consists of six tracks, including the group's third original English-language single "I Got You" and the lead single "One Spark."

Eternal Sunshine - Ariana Grande 
Ariana Grande celebrated the release if her seventh studio album in March which spent two weeks atop the chart by the end of the month. The project was highly-anticipated by Grande’s fans as it marked her first fresh album in more than three years.

Future and Metro Boomin

WE DON'T TRUST YOU - Future and Metro Boomin
WE DON’T TRUST YOU marked the first collaborative album by rapper, Future and producer Metro Boomin. The project saw three successful singles including "Type S***", "Young Metro", and "Like That.” It also saw support from several collaborators including The WeekndTravis ScottPlayboi CartiKendrick Lamar, and Rick Ross.

Cowboy Carter - Beyoncé
Beyoncé shocked the world as she delivered her very first Country album. Consisting of a whopping 27 tracks and running just shy of an hour and 30 minutes, the 32-time GRAMMY winner tapped into her deep-running Texas roots for inspiration and took a detour from her Pop and R&B norm.

Future and Metro Boomin

WE STILL DON'T TRUST YOU - Future and Metro Boomin
Just weeks after the release of their first collaborative studio album, WE DON’T TRUST YOU, Future and Metro Boomin celebrated the release of their second collaborative project, WE STILL DON'T TRUST YOU. It released in April 2024 and added to the high-level collabs of WE DON’T TRUST YOU with appearances by The WeekndChris BrownBrownstoneTy Dolla SignJ. ColeLil Baby, and ASAP Rocky.

The Tortured Poets Department - Taylor Swift 
The Tortured Poets Department marked Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album and shocked fans 12 hours after its initial April 9 release when Swift revealed it was a double album. Altogether, the project consisted of 31 songs which sat at the top of the album chart for 18 cumulative weeks — the most of any album this year.

The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) - Eminem 
The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) marked Eminem’s 12th studio album. The concept album centered around a battle between Eminem and his well-known alter ego, Slim Shady. It follows his 2020 album, Music to Be Murdered By, and was supported by three singles; "Houdini", "Tobey", and "Somebody Save Me.”

Stray Kids

Ate - Stray Kids 
Ate marks the ninth Korean-language project by South Korean boy band, Stray Kids. Releasing in July, it arrived just eight months after the group’s Rock-Star album. In support of the album, the group embarked on their third worldwide concert tour, Dominate, beginning in August 2024.

F-1 Trillion - Post Malone 
Post Malone dropped jaws as he made his Country music debut with his album F-1 Trillion. The project features an array of heavy-hitters in the Country genre including Luke Combs, Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Brad Paisley and many others. The album received several CMA nominations and is also up for Best Country Album at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards.

Sabrina Carpenter

Short n’ Sweet - Sabrina Carpenter 
Sabrina Carpenter celebrated the release of her sixth studio album Short n' Sweet in August 23. With Pop, Country, Disco, Rock, and R&B influences, the project sat atop the charts for three weeks upon its release.

Days Before Rodeo - Travis Scott 
Releasing August 18, Days Before Rodeo, marked the second mixtape from rapper, Travis Scott. Released independently, it features guest appearances by Rich Homie Quan, Young Thug, T.I., the 1975, Big Sean, Migos, and Peewee Longway.

Mixtape Pluto - Future 
Mixtape Pluto, released Septer 20, marked Future’s seventeenth. It was supported by two singles; "Too Fast" and "South of France.” Future also saw the top of the charts with two other projects in 2024; Future and Metro Boomin’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU and WE STILL DON'T TRUST YOU.

Moon Music - Coldplay 
Released on October 4, Moon Music marked the tenth studio album by Coldplay and marked the second part of their Music of the Spheres project. The album was released in three editions; NotebookTour and Full Moon. Each one featured its own exclusive content, including voice memos, live sets and bonus tracks.

Beautifully Broken - Jelly Roll 
On the heels of his 2024 Beautifully Broken Tour, history-making debut country album, Whitsitt Chapel, and 5 #1 singles, the award-winning, 2x GRAMMY nominee Jelly Roll released his sophomore Country album, Beautifully Broken, on October 11. Featuring “I Am Not Okay” currently climbing the radio charts, the multi-genre phenomenon’s new project continues to spotlight his commitment of making real music for real people with real problems.

Lifestyle - Yeat 
Lifestyle is the fifth studio album by Yeat and released on February 2024. The project features guest appearances by artists including Lil Wayne and Future, with the deluxe edition featuring a guest appearance by Drake.

Chromakopia - Tyler, the Creator 
Chromakopia marks Tyler, the Creator’s eighth studio album which he wrote, produced, and arranged. It served as the follow-up to 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost and pulls inspiration from the Jazz, Soul, and Hip-Hop.

ATEEZ

Golden Hour: Part.2 - ATEEZ
Released in November, Golden Hour: Part.2 marked the eleventh EP by South Korean boy band Ateez. It features six tracks and serves as the continuation of the Golden Hour series.

Kendrick Lamar

GNX - Kendrick Lamar 
Kendrick Lamar surprised fans with the release of his sixth studio album, GNX, in November. The album debuted at #1 in various countries, including the U.S. where it stayed for the first week of December. The album, which has guest appearances from SZA, Dody6, Lefty Gunplay, Wallie the Sensei, Siete7x, and many more earned Lamar his fifth number-one album.

HOP - Stray Kids
Stray Kids rounded out the year with their sixth, #1 career album, HOP. The accomplishment makes them the only group to debut at #1 with their first six albums in the history of the chart. HOP is their second #1 album of the year, the first being, ATE ,which released in July.

SZA

SOS Deluxe: LANA - SZA 
The deluxe version of her 2022 project, SOS Deluxe: LANA, put SZA back at the top for an 11th non-consecutive week. The album contains 15 new songs in addition to the original album’s 23 bringing the total to a whopping 38 tracks. With 22 months since the song’s last time at #1 - the album now holds the record for biggest gap between weeks at #1.
