Doc Severinsen was the band leader on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson for 30 years. At 93-years-old, he's got some great stories. Not just about his time working with the comedian, but also from his personal life. Doc shared some of those stories in a new American Masters, the documentary series on PBS. You can see it this Friday night at 10:30 on CPTV.
The documentary shines a light on the trumpeter's upbringing in Oregon, as well as his time as a musician. Severinsen said after viewing the final cut of the film, "I found out how much I didn't know, too."
